Got a Tip?

Watch: New Clips From ’21 Jump Street,’ ‘Jeff Who Lives At Home’ & Michael Winterbottom’s ‘Trishna’

nullSome more peeks at a few movies headed your way, so let's just dive in…

First up, here's yet another look at "21 Jump Street," the upcoming TV show-turned-movie starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. Yes, the buzz and marketing behind this one has been enormous but this is the rare case where all that advance word is actually true. In our A-grade review we called it "a brilliant, rewarding convergence of incredibly talented people who were of one mind about what they were trying to make, and miraculously they made it. More than merely hilarious, thrilling, intelligent, or involving – any one or two of which alone would be a significant achievement – it’s well-rounded, wonderful, and truly special." See for yourself when it opens on March 16th.

Also arriving that weekend, although a bit more dialed down on the comedic scale, is the Duplass brothers' "Jeff Who Lives At Home." Starring Jason Segel, Ed Helms, Judy Greer and Susan Sarandon, the story centers on two brothers — one who is going through a mid-life crisis (Helms) and believes his wife (Greer) is having an affair, and the other, a lovable loser pothead (Segel) still living with his mom (Sarandon). As they set out to spy on the wife, a journey unfolds with all sorts of unintended consequences. This scene is a pretty hilarious look at the contentious relationship between Jeff and his mom.

Finally, here's a new look at Michael Winterbottom's "Trishna." An adaptation of Thomas Hardy‘s novel, “Tess of the d’Urbervilles” (obviously updated and relocated), the film will tell the story of the doomed relationship between Jay (Riz Ahmed) and Trishna (Freida Pinto), the former the son of a property developer, the latter the daughter of an auto rickshaw owner. The movie will roll out in limited release on July 13th. Watch all three below. [BoxOfficeBuz//Film/Artificial Eye]
