Watch: New Trailer For Brad Pitt WW2 Tank Drama 'Fury'

FuryAwards contenders are rolling out of festival season thick and fast, but there’s still a few notable question marks to come in the next few months. One of the biggest is "Fury," a WW2 drama about a tank crew in the closing days of the conflict. The film is written and directed by David Ayer, and stars Brad Pitt, Logan Lerman, Shia LaBeouf, Michael Pena and Jon Bernthal.

The last WW2 picture Pitt made was the multi-nominated "Inglourious Basterds," but that was a Quentin Tarantino picture, whereas this is helmed by the guy who made "Sabotage" only a few months ago, so we wonder if this is mainly a commercial proposition. Either way, a new UK trailer for the film has arrived, and it does at least continue to look like a step up for Ayer as a filmmaker, even if it does give away the movie virtually beat-for-beat and seems to suggest in places that the tanks are firing laser beams… (we know they’re tracer bullets, but it looks a little silly here).

That aside, we’re certainly looking forward to checking the film out in full. "Fury" lands in theaters on October 17th, and will close the BFI London Film Festival two days later. Watch the trailer below.
