Watch: Politics Is War In First Trailer For ‘All The Way’ Starring Bryan Cranston As Lyndon B. Johnson

All The WayThe career of Bryan Cranston has been pretty remarkable. On television, the actor made his mark in two wildly different shows: the sitcom "Malcolm In The Middle," and AMC‘s intense "Breaking Bad." And transitioning into movies, he’s continued to impress, even earning an Oscar nomination for his turn in the title role of "Trumbo." Now, he’s reprised his Tony award-winning performance as Lyndon B. Johnson for the upcoming "All The Way," and you can see the actor undergo yet another transformation.

Directed by Jay Roach ("Trumbo," "Game Change"), the picture tackles the tumultuous first year in office of the President following the assassination of John F. Kennedy. And among the supporting actors is Anthony Mackie, playing Martin Luther King Jr., who had nothing but great things to say about Cranston.

"Working with Bryan Cranston is kind of — I want Cranston’s career. I want to grow up and be Cranston. Everybody’s like ‘Oh, Breaking Bad, he’s so awesome.’ But now you see him in old movies and realize ‘Holy shit! He’s been awesome for a really long time.’ So now, with ‘Trumbo,’ ‘Breaking Bad’ and this LBJ performance he’s going to be — if he’s not now — one of the top actors in Hollywood," he told us last month. "I’ve never seen anybody do what he’s able to do with those actors in such a short time. People hope their whole career for three performances like that, and he’s done that in like, four years. It was exceptional to stand across from him and watch him work."

"All The Way" hits HBO on May 21st. Watch below.
