Over the past couple of weeks, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, we’ve been chipping away at highlighting the best (and worst) of what the year in film has had to offer. But with hundreds of movies hitting the multiplex and arthouses across the last twelve months, there are many that will slip through the cracks, gems that you forgot were officially released this year, and others you may have just overlooked. But this eight-minute video is good look back.
Though it leans almost too heavily on excerpts from "Me And Earl And The Dying Girl," editor Miguel Branco does a good job at highlighting both multiplex and arthouse efforts across the year, though there may be one or two of your own faves that don’t make the cut (for me, I wish I’d seen "Far From The Madding Crowd" in the mix). But it’s a Herculean effort to even put this kind of video together, so kudos are certainly deserved.
