Sony can’t seem to stop trailering the hell out of "The Brothers Grimsby," to the point where I hope there are some jokes left when the movie actually comes out. Or maybe they are just really trying to convince everyone that this movie, which looks pretty dull by Sacha Baron Cohen‘s much-better-than-average standards, is worth lining up for.
To recap, the action comedy tells the story of two brothers, separated during childhood, who are reunited. One is a dimwitted soccer fan, the other is a high skilled secret agent, and as these things go, circumstances force them to stick together, save the day from the villainous Penélope Cruz, and forge a new bond. It’s very, very broad stuff, but maybe as a big dumb laffer it’ll work if it knows how to get in and out fast enough (meaning, let’s hope it doesn’t commit the error of "Spy" and run for two hours long).
"The Brothers Grimsby" opens on March 11, 2016.
