It's a good morning to be a Los Angeles pharmacist, as, Hollywood is just this moment waking up with their worst hangover of the year. Yep, it's the morning after the Golden Globes, and what the Hollywood Foreign Press Association lacks in respect or prestige, it makes up for in free-flowing booze and raucous partying. And so long as you don't take it too seriously, it can make for pretty entertaining viewing, something proven last night.
With Amy Poehler & Tina Fey hosting, and doing one of the best jobs at such a thing in recent memory (the question is, can the Academy suck it up and steal them over in future years?), there were plenty of laughs, but there were also tears, in part thanks to Jodie Foster's acceptance of the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award, an occasion she used to come out publicly for the first time in a heartfelt and touching speech.
It may not mean much in the context of the awards season (we'd argue that Christoph Waltz and Jennifer Lawrence got minor bumps, but not much beyond that), but there were plenty of highlights, and you can watch our 5 favorites below.
