Watch: The Band Jams In First Clip From David Chase’s Rock ‘N Roll Drama ‘Not Fade Away’

nullGuys, guitars, coming-of-age, young love…it's a rite of passage for many young men with LPs, late nights and romance all coming together in a certain time and place when anything seems possible. And that's the feeling "The Sopranos" creator David Chase is trying to evoke with his feature directorial debut "Not Fade Away." Premiering at the New York Film Festival earlier this fall, things have been quiet around the movie, but as it gears up to hit theaters, the marketing machine is slowly waking up.

The first clip from the movie has arrived, appropriately enough over at Rolling Stone, and in it we witness the band — Douglas (John Magaro), Eugene (Jack Huston), Wells (Will Brill) and Joe (Brahm Vaccarella) — jamming on "Willie And The Hand Jive." It's a pretty nice little moment, with Chase accurately capturing how the disparate musical talents can slowly come together and learn to work together. Of course, this being the 1960s, parents just won't understand their volume both musically and personally, as their eventual big hair, high fashion and grand ambitions cause a culture clash.

Bella Heathcote, James Gandolfini, Brad Garrett, Lisa Lampanelli and more co-star in the movie, which opens on December 21st. Watch below and read our review here.
