If you’re lamenting the options for nuanced, adult dramas and comedies at the movies, then may I turn your attention to "Togetherness." The HBO series is flat out terrific, alternately funny and moving, with a great cast and excellent writing that almost makes it look too easy. Season one ended on a helluva cliffhanger (I won’t spoil it here), but it does look like it has some ramifications for all involved as they adjust to the shifting relationship dynamics. But as I said, the approach is (deceptively) breezy, with the show presenting a layered look at the complexities of middle age life.
