Before Brad Bird was a Pixar legend and blockbuster filmmaker, and before Vin Diesel clogged up multiplexes with the smell of exhaust, the pair collaborated on what would become a contemporary animated classic: "The Iron Giant." And now sixteen years after it first hit cinemas, it’s getting a new coat of paint, a couple of additional scenes, and a new trailer.
"The Iron Giant: Signature Edition" brings back the story of misunderstood robot you love, with some new sequences never seen before on the big screen. Indeed, it’s a nice opportunity to revisit the film again (or watch it for the first time). Even TIFF is celebrating the movie by screening it next month at the festival. In a way it’s belated victory lap for the movie. And today brings the new trailer, laying it all out for fans new and old.
