While “The Other Guys” didn’t quite hit the surrealistic heights of “Anchorman,” one of the film’s most WTF moments found the plain looking Dr. Sheila Gamble (Eva Mendes) calming down her husband, NYPD officer Alan Gamble (Will Ferrell) with an a capella version of “Pimps Don’t Cry.” If you stuck around during the film’s closing credits, after Rage Against The Machine’s “Maggie’s Farm” you might have heard the full on studio version of the new R&B classic by Mendes along with Cee-Lo Green.
But in the event that you missed it, not to fear, as an official video for the song has hit allowing you to relive the song in all its bizarro soulful glory. The biggest surprise? Mendes voice is actually pretty good. As for the song itself, it’s definitely funny, but it’s no “Boats ‘N Hoes.”
