Well here’s a twist on two actors subverting their stereotypes. On the one hand, there’s former Disney boy toy Zac Efron, and on the other is pot connoisseur and slacker specialist Seth Rogen. So in the upcoming “Neighbors,” guess which one is playing the frat boy?
As you probably figured out by now, it’s Efron, as he leads a crew of fratboys who move in next door to the mild-mannered Rogen, his wife Rose Byrne (lucky guy) and their young daughter. And of course, a turf war ensues in which air bags are stolen and babies chew on used condoms. If that’s your bag, this movie will be right up your alley. Here’s the synopsis:
Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Rose Byrne lead the cast of Neighbors, a comedy about a young couple suffering from arrested development who are forced to live next to a fraternity house after the birth of their newborn baby. Neighbors is directed by Nick Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek).
Formerly titled “Townies,” the retitled “Neighbors” will hit theaters on May 9, 2014.
