'Wuthering Heights': Margot Robbie & Jacob Elordi To Star In Emerald Fennell's Next Film

After producing Emerald Fennell’s first two films, it appears that Margot Robbie is ready to step in front of the camera for the third film.

According to Variety, Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi are set to star in Emerald Fennell’s film adaptation of “Wuthering Heights.” We’ve known for a few months now that Fennell was working on an adaptation of Emily Brontë’s classic novel. The film is based on the novel of the same name and tells the story of two English families in the mid-19th century. In the film, Robbie will play Catherine Earnshaw, while Elordi will take on the role of Heathcliff.

As mentioned, this is the third film from Fennell, after she previously helmed “Promising Young Woman” and last year’s “Saltburn.” The latter of which became a streaming hit, despite it’s relatively mixed reviews.

Robbie, of course, is probably best known for her work in the recent blockbuster, “Barbie.” She has expanded her film duties in recent years as a producer, as well. As a producer, she was responsible for Fennell’s previous films, and she even brought in Fennell as an actress in the aforementioned “Barbie.”

Elordi, on the other hand, is a massively popular up-and-coming actor. He co-starred in “Saltburn” and is probably best known for projects such as “Priscilla” and “Euphoria.” He has a number of films coming soon, including the Paul Schrader film, “Oh, Canada.”

Production on “Wuthering Heights” isn’t set to begin until 2025. So, it’s more likely we’ll see the film arrive sometime in 2026.
