Jason Sudeikis & Rose Byrne 'Tumbledown' Together For A Rom-Com

Rose ByrneThough he’s still a current cast-member on “Saturday Night Live,” Jason Sudeikis still finds the time in his schedule for the big screen. And while he’s always been part of an ensemble, the “Horrible Bosses” actor is set to be the love interest in his very own romantic comedy opposite an actress who’s been in some hit comedies of her own.

The Wrap is reporting that Rose Byrne will star alongside Sudeikis in the indie rom-com “Tumbledown” from first time director and writer Sean Mewshaw and Desi Van Til, respectively. The film follows Byrne as “a young widow who falls for a brash New York writer (Sudeikis) who barrels into her rural Maine town to investigate the death of her husband, a folk-music hero.” This isn’t Byrne’s first foray into the comedy world, she’s appeared in two Judd Apatow productions, “Get Him To The Greek” and the smash hit “Bridesmaids.” She’s also the star of Brit-com “I Give It A Year,” which recently screened at SXSW. Could this be the film that finally gives both Byrne and Sudeikis a big screen boost? Or will they forever be relegated to secondary status?

The two leading actors have quite a cast lined up around them with Olivia Munn, Joe Manganiello, Blythe Danner, Michael McKean and Beau Bridges all set to appear in the film. Shooting on “Tumbledown” starts this fall in Vancouver.
