Lucas Till, Jeremy Irvine & Alex Pettyfer Testing For 'Divergent' Lead Opposite Shailene Woodley

nullSo, will any of these guys be the next Robert Pattinson? As studios gear up to fill the space left by the now finished "Twilight" franchise — "Beautiful Creatures" from Warner Bros. arrives next month and Sony's "The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones" hits in the summer — another contender is on the way, but from the studio who brought you Edward and Bella in the first place. Summit is gearing up "Divergent" with Shailene Woodley, and it's time to find her a co-star.

Last fall, Lucas Till ("X-Men: First Class"), Luke Bracey ("Home & Away," "Monte Carlo"), Brenton Thwaites ("Blue Lagoon: The Awakening," the upcoming "Maleficent") and Irish actor Jack Reynor (who just got cast in "Transformers 4") were testing for the gig. And the testing continues, with Variety revealing that Till is still in the mix with "War Horse" star Jeremy Irvine and "Magic Mike" dude Alex Pettyfer now trying out for the job. Based on the smash hit book by Veronica Roth, the story follows sixteen year-old Beatrice (Woodley), who lives in a dystopian future where society is divided into five factions based on virtue: Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). Forced to choose which one she'll live in for the rest of her life — a decision that pulls her between being with her family and staying true to who she is — Beatrice makes a decision that leads to massive changes.

There is no frontrunner yet according to trade, but a decision will likely come soon. Shooting is gearing up to start this spring, and Woodley will be moving to "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" after that so things can't shift around too much. Any fans of the books have opinion on this?
