“Wonder Woman” — aka the movie that Warner Bros. hopes will save DC Films and not be another crippling humiliation — is coming, and fans are beyond excited. Whether or not it lives up to the hype, we’ll have to wait and see, but so far the marketing is pivoting away from grimy aesthetics of “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice” and “Suicide Squad.”

The new poster for the superheroine film is here, and it’s all yellow/orange reverie, with Gal Gadot‘s hero wielding a sword that apparently can’t pierce sand. Here’s the official synopsis:
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
“Wonder Woman” opens on June 2nd.
