Woody Harrelson Says Young Han Solo Spinoff Might Be The Best 'Star Wars' Movie Ever

The original “Star Wars” trilogy tends to be hallowed ground, a canon of films so highly revered that the filmmakers embarking on the sequels and spinoffs can only humbly tip their hat to what George Lucas created more than four decades ago. But at some point, a movie in the series will come along that may best its predecessors, and Woody Harrelson thinks the currently untitled young Han Solo movie might just be it.

In an interview with Collider, Harrelson says that he thinks that upcoming movie has the right mix of ingredients, from the directors (Phil Lord and Chris Miller) to its cast (which includes Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge) to make for a terrific — and possibly, the best — “Star Wars” movie.

“You know, any movie’s only as good as the director or in this case directors, and so I have a suspicion, because if you look at the whole, all the movies, the backlog of every one of these movies, there’s a lot of great stuff, but one might not be not as good with the writing in this or the acting in that or the directing in that, this has great actors, great directors, great script, and I really feel like we’re gonna make the best one,” the actor boldly stated.

Well, time will tell, but on paper, ‘Rogue One’ had the potential for greatness as well, but missed the mark (it’s still quite good, but arguably not a classic in the “Star Wars” series). Thoughts? Let us know in the comments section.
