Yep, it seems everyone has their own critics group and organization… So today, the Online Film Critics Society logged on with the winners for 2013, with one movie to lead them all.
Steve McQueen‘s “12 Years A Slave” took Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Adapated Screenplay, but when it came to the director’s chair, it was Alfonso Cuaron who snuck away with the prize for “Gravity.” The space thriller also won a deserved prize for Best Sound Design and Visual Effects, while the late Roger Ebert was honored as well. And while the group made a separate list of of films without a U.S. release, it should be noted that a strong handful of them do have distributors and 2014 release dates lined up.
