“The Diplomat”
Following her superb turn in FX’s “The Americans,” Kerri Russell returns to television in a starring role with Netflix’s upcoming “The Diplomat.” Created by Deborah Cahn (“Homeland,” “Fosse/Verdon,”) the series follows Russell’s Katey Wyler, a U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom who must diffuse international crises and forge alliances while navigating her marriage. Rufus Sewell, Ali Ahn, David Gyasi, Ato Essandoh, and Rory Kinnear star.
Release Date: Season 1 premieres on April 20 on Netflix.
“Slip”
Created by and starring “How it Ends” filmmaker Zoe Lister-Jones, this high-concept comedy series follows a woman who travels through parallel universes trying to find her way back to her partner and herself. Emily Hampshire, Whitmer Thomas, Tymika Tafari, Amar Chadha-Patel, and Sofia Galasso also star.

“Dear Mama”
“The Defiant Ones” director Allen Hughes returns for the five-part series for FX, “Dear Mama.” the documentary series shares the story of mother and son, Afeni and Tupac Shakur, the former a female leader of the Black Panther Party, the latter a rapper and poet who’d become an icon for Black activism.

“Dead Ringers”
Rachel Weisz stars in “Dead Ringers” for Amazon Prime Video, a remake of the 1988 film by David Cronenberg. Weisz plays the role originated by Jeremy Irons as twin gynecologists, Elliot and Beverly Mantle, who begin to perform ethically questionable procedures on infertile women. Michael Chernus, Poppy Liu, and Britne Oldford star.
