“Love and Death
Elizabeth Olsen and Jesse Plemmons star in “Love and Death,” the second series in the last year about the same subject, following 2022’s “Candy” starring Jessica Biel. Written by David E. Kelley (“Big Little Lies,” “Nine Perfect Strangers”) and directed by Lesli Linka Glatter (“Mad Men,” “The Morning Show”) the crime-drama follows Olsen’s Candy Montgomery, who is accused of the brutal axe murder of her friend. Patrick FugitLily RabeKeir Gilchrist, and Krysten Ritter star. 
Release Date: The series premieres on April 27 on HBO Max.

Sweet Tooth
The Team Downey-produced Netflix series “Sweet Tooth” returns for its second season. Based on the comic book series of the same name from Jeff Lemire, the series stars Nonso AnozieChristian ConveryAdeel AkhtarStefania LaVie Owen, and more. Our critic wrote of season one “…it is an antidote to the grimdark worlds we usually see in apocalyptic fantasy and one brimming with love, hope, beauty, and, well, sweet treats.”
Release Date: Season 2 premieres on April 27 on Netflix.

Citadel
Richard Madden stars in his newest drama series following work in “The Bodyguard” and “Game of Thrones.” Created by Josh Appelbaum and Bryan Oh, the crime drama follows the fall of a global spy agency whose agents have had their memories erased, causing problems when they must fight back against a growing crime syndicate attempting a takeover. Priyanka Chopra JonasStanley Tucci, and Lesley Manville star. The series has already been renewed for a second season. 
Release Date: Season 1 premieres on April 28 on Prime Video.

Fatal Attraction
Based on the 1987 film of the same name starring Michael Douglas, and Glenn CloseAlexandra Cunningham and Kevin J. Hynes have adapted the erotic crime thriller to miniseries format. Lizzy Caplan and Joshua Jackson star as a couple wrapped up in an affair that turns volatile when the woman refuses her lover to put an end to the affair. Silver Tree (“You,” “Dead to Me,”) directs with Amanda PeetAlyssa JirrelsToby HussReno Wilson, and Brian Goodman rounding out the main cast. 
Release Date: The series premieres on April 30 on Paramount+.
