“Nosferatu”
An ancient Transylvanian vampire stalks a haunted young woman in 19th-century Germany in the latest from Robert Eggers, “Nosferatu.” The remake of the 1922 film of the same name stars Lily-Rose Depp, Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Ralph Ineson, Simon McBurney, and Willem Dafoe. “A Complete Unknown”
Timothée Chalamet stars in the latest music biopic as Bob Dylan in “A Complete Unknown.” Directed by James Mangold (“Ford v Ferrari”) the film also stars Edward Norton, Elle Fanning, and Monica Barbaro.

Honorable Mentions: The turn of the millennium embraces horror in the disaster comedy “Y2K.” Bryan Tyree Henry and Ryan Destiny star in Rachel Morrison’s feature directorial debut, “The First Inside.” Jharrel Jerome stars in the sports drama, “Unstoppable,” based on the true story of wrestler Anthony Robles. Robbie Williams is another musician getting a semi-biographical film in “Better Man,” though his onscreen counterpart is being played by a CGI chimpanzee. Lastly, there’s the psychological and Danish entry for Best International Feature Film, “The Girl with the Needle.”
