Golden Globes 2021 Full Winners List: ‘Nomadland,’ ‘Queen’s Gambit,’ Chadwick Boseman & More

It’s that time of year again—where the biggest names in Hollywood get all glammed up, gather in front of their webcams, and wait for their Zoom meeting to begin so they can find out who won this year’s Golden Globes. With COVID-19 still a major issue in the US and around the world, this year’s 78th Annual Golden Globes Awards did things a bit differently, as the ceremony was mostly a digital affair but with some familiar elements.

For this year’s most unusual edition of the Golden Globe Awards, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler reunited for the fourth time to host the event. Unlike the three other times this duo of ‘SNL‘-alums hosted, they did so from different sides of the country, with Fey in New York City and Poehler in Los Angeles.

Winners included Chadwick Boseman for Best Actor in a Drama (and his wife’s acceptance speech was truly emotional and special), Anya Taylor-Joy winning Best Actress for a Limited Series for “The Queen’s Gambit,” which also won Best Limited Series. You also had Sacha Baron Cohen taking home Best Actor in a Comedy as well as Best Comedy Film for “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.”

There were definitely some shocks to be had, with Rosamund Pike landing Best Actress in a Comedy for “I Care A Lot,” Jodie Foster for her role in “The Mauritanian,” and Andra Day for her role in “The United States vs. Billie Holiday.” But overall, there wasn’t anything super crazy like “Music” winning Best Picture. Though that would have been hilarious (and terrible), right?
