It’s been a long minute since we’ve heard about this one, but we’re finally getting our first look, trailer, and more from “65,” a new sci-fi film from the writers of “A Quiet Place,” starring Adam Driver. The film centers on an astronaut who crash lands on a mysterious planet only to discover he’s not alone.
It’s reportedly a very small cast, too—Driver alongside newcomers Ariana Greenblatt and Chloe Coleman. Sam Raimi is one of the producers. And there are at least two things interesting about this one.

For one, Driver doesn’t usually play the traditional leading man hero, but he really looks like he’s playing that role for once. For two, the writer/directors Scott Beck & Bryan Woods. They got quickly overtaken and overshadowed by John Krasinski, who took their script for “A Quiet Place” and made it his own thing. But they certainly weren’t left in the dust.
Having already directed a lot of shorts and indie features, it wasn’t long until they could parlay the success of that film into a much bigger filmmaking career.
Here’s the official synopsis:
After a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills (Adam Driver) quickly discovers he’s actually stranded on Earth…65 million years ago. Now, with only one chance at rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight to survive. From the writers of A Quiet Place and producer Sam Raimi comes 65, a sci-fi thriller starring Adam Driver, Ariana Greenblatt, and Chloe Coleman. Written and directed by Scott Beck & Bryan Woods and produced by Sam Raimi, Deborah Liebling and Zainab Azizi. Also produced by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods.
