While Arcade Fire are still recharging their batteries after touring the world in support of Reflektor, and with some members focusing on solo projects — Will Butler has been busy on the road promoting Policy, while Tim Kingsbury plays his first solo show next month — the band still has something special in the vault for fans.
This fall, Arcade Fire will release their first feature film, "The Reflektor Tapes," and a healthy eight minute preview has landed online along with a much shorter teaser trailer. Directed by Sundance prize winning filmmaker Khalil Joseph, the movie is a behind-the-scenes look at the band, their performances, journeys to Haiti, and the bigger question of what music means to them. It’s a step away from your traditional band documentary, but fans rarely expect the ordinary from Arcade Fire.
"The Reflektor Tapes" hits the big screen on September 24th. Watch below.
Update 8/12: A slightly longer trailer for the movie has landed. Check it out below.
