Well, we all know how that turned out, and as we’ve said time and again, test screenings are not an accurate measure of a film’s quality. Terrible movies have tested well, and great movies have tested poorly. It’s an inaccurate science, and even to call it anything close to science debases the term. But alas, here we are…

THR reports that “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2” has landed a perfect 100 score, the highest in Marvel history, following an early test screening. It should be noted that while the standard procedure is to grab a bunch of randoms for test screenings, Marvel does things slightly differently, using a wide base of “friends and family” for early previews in an effort to prevent spoilers from leaking out. So, you could argue they’re playing with a stacked deck, and even if everyone is being as objective as possible, this should all be taken with a massive grain of salt.
“Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2” opens on May 5th and it will either be the best Marvel and superhero movie ever or… not.
