If there has been one constant in the “Transformers” franchise, beyond Michael Bay‘s blitzkrieg action, it has been bloated running times. “Transformers: Rise Of The Fallen” clocked in at 2 hours and 24 minutes, “Transformers: Dark Of The Moon” tallied up 2 hours and 34 minutes, while “Transformers: Age Of Extinction” kept viewers in their seats for a ridiculous 2 hours and 45 minutes. Well, the good news is “Transformers: The Last Knight” will spare your butt.
This week, social media has been spreading around a very unsourced rumor that the new entry in the franchise was going to run over 3 hours long. It seems the internet hasn’t learned from past instances when [insert movie] was rumored to be [OMG so long] because it turns out that once again, it’s #fakenews.
Director Michael Bay has hit Twitter to assure everyone that not only is “Transformers: The Last Knight” shorter than 3 hours, it’s actually shorter than the three last films.
Reports of #transformers The Last Knight being over 3hrs is wrong. It's shorter than the last 3 movies by a lot.

So, it looks like ‘The Last Knight’ will be a normal movie length, so everyone can stop freaking out. The film opens on June 21st.
