“Breaking Bad” fans, hold your introductory meth lab kits. After months of secrecy about a “Breaking Bad” feature set to hit Netflix and AMC sometime in 2020, the haze the project lived under for months was finally lifted earlier this fall. Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) is back, and he’s going to star in a sequel called, “El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie.” As the new teaser demonstrates, unveiled tonight during the Emmy broadcast, “El Camino” picks up just hours after the events of the “Breaking Bad” finale– the Alberqurque police putting out an APB bulletin about Pinkman’s whereabouts, though they obviously don’t know his identity. Yet.
We have no usual synopsis to offer beyond that, but the creators at the helm of the project have said that it will follow a kidnapped man fighting his way to freedom and there’s a good bet Walter White’ (Bryan Cranston) will be involved in some kind of drug-haze flashbacks even though the character is dead. Cranston would neither confirm nor deny whether or not he’s involved with the project, teasing the very same thing to Entertainment Online earlier this year. “Could be [in] a flashback, or a flash-forward. I’m still dead, Walter White, I don’t know what [could happen.]”

This seems to be, pardon our French, horseshit. “El Camino shot a long time ago, and everyone involved knew the logistics of the show, but you can’t blame the guy for trying to hide the surprise.
Late in August, Cranston and Paul tweeted the same photo of a donkey at the exact same time confusing fans and leading to many to believe this was a confirmation or a tease about “El Camino,” then still untitled and mostly under wraps. It turns out it was a tease for a joint tequila venture the acting friends have created together, but, it seems nearly impossible to our minds that Cranston doesn’t show up at least a little bit. After all, the specter of Walter White is going to hang heavy over Jesse Pinkman no matter what.
Either way, we’ll soon find out. “El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie” is available on Netflix on October 11. Watch the new teaser below.
