Lionsgate and director Chad Stahelski are putting together a mix of known and somewhat unknown actors for the next installment of the “John Wick” franchise as Collider reports that Swedish actor Bill Skarsgård is in talks to an undisclosed part in the action pic alongside newcomer Shamier Anderson (“Stowaway,” “Invasion”) taking a “major role” as well.
Skarsgård is, of course, familiar to audiences thanks to his role as Pennywise in New Line Cinema‘s “It” and “It: Chapter Two,” directed by Andy Muschietti. He also appeared in David Leitch‘s “Deadpool 2” and “Atomic Blonde,” the filmmaker co-directing “John Wick” with Stahelski.

“John Wick: Chapter 4” will see John Wick and The Bowery King going to war against The High Table, a mysterious international group of puppet masters that control this fantastical world of assassins and criminal syndicates with an iron fist.
Other newbies joining Keanu Reeves in “John Wick: Chapter 4” are Hong Kong action star Donnie Yen and Japanese-British singer Rina Sawayama.
It’s expected we’ll see the return of previous cast members such as Ian McShane, Lance Riddick, and Laurence Fishburne. However, slightly less clear is if we’ll end up having Halley Berry, Anjelica Huston, Common, Asia Kate Dillon, or Jason Mantzoukas reprising their franchise roles.
Production is said to begin soon at the famed Babelsberg Film Studio just outside Berlin, Germany, a location previously used for Reeves’ “The Matrix 4” and Charlize Theron‘s “Atomic Blonde.” Collider previously mentioned that Paris and Japan are scenic locations penned-in as well.
“John Wick” will blast into theaters on May 27, 2022, and Lionsgate announced plans for “John Wick 5,” which is expected to be the final chapter.
