An official logline for the upcoming genre event pic courtesy of Warner Bros.:

After a mysterious cosmic event rips Oak Street from suburbia and transports their neighborhood to someplace unknown, the Platt family soon discovers that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their now unrecognizable surroundings.

Abrams leads the producing team, which also consists of Hannah Minghella, Jon Cohen, Mitchell, Matt Jackson, and Tommy Harper, alongside exec producers Chris Bender, Jake Weiner, Joanne Lee, and Leeann Stonebreaker.

Another project on the horizon for Mitchell has actress Maika Monroe set to reunite with the filmmaker for “They Follow,” a follow-up installment to their fantastic horror film “It Follows.”
