Excised Scene Mocking Latoya Jackson Returns For The 'Brüno' DVD

Now that the world has finally stopped mourning the death of Michael Jackson (because they’re celebrating with his dance movie!), it’s apparently OK now for Sacha Baron Cohen to make fun of LaToya Jackson once more.

You’ll recall right before the release of “Brüno,” the 50-year-old King of Pop passed away (have they figured out what killed him yet aside from child molesters remorse?), so Universal quickly pulled the scene in the picture that mocked LaToya, “out of respect for Jackson’s family.”

To refresh your memory. What happened in the offending scene? Yes, we saw it as did many press outlets who saw advance screenings.

…Cohen, in the guise of Brüno, attempting to find Michael Jackson’s phone number on LaToya’s BlackBerry. After Brüno reads aloud what he claims to be the singer’s number, an apparently enraged LaToya terminates the interview and storms off the set.

It was amusing and all, but it didn’t make or break, “Brüno” which was largely a disappointment anyway. Anyhow, People is now reporting that the scene will be reinstated on the DVD when it arrives in stores on Nov. 17, though it won’t be part of the final cut. The 90-second scene will just be a DVD deleted sequence extra. We’re sure that will mean the disc will now sell like hotcakes.
