As previously reported by the Box Office Mojo Rodriguez’s next film, “Nerverackers” futuristic thriller already set for release on April 16, 2010. Variety reports today that the picture will (naturally) reteam him with Dimension Films (who have basically shepherded most of his pictures to date). The film is a sci-fi noir and the synopsis is thus: “Set in 2085, the story centers on a character named Joe Tezca who is part of an elite unit dispatched to quell a crime wave in a theoretically perfect future society.”
We believe we’ve been hearing about this one round the local water cooler for months now. Don’t expect “Sin City 2” anytime soon (or any other rumored projects for that matter). Rodriguez’s kids film, “Shorts,” which centers on a magic-colored rock is due this summer on August 7, via Warner Brothers.
