Last year, indie comedienne Aubrey Plaza was no one. This year she’s starring in Judd Apatow’s “Funny People,” and has been additionally cast in the Amy Poehler-lead not-an ‘Office’ spinoff, ‘Office’ spinoff, plus has just nabbed a role in of the adaptation of the action/comedy/ romance comic book, “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” opposite Michael Cera as his on and off-again girlfriend and a record store employee.
According to TotalFilm, director Edgar Wright (“Hot Fuzz,” “Shaun of the Dead”) has also added Kieran Culkin to the cast. Uber-cute Mary Elizabeth Winstead (“Grindhouse”) will play Cera’s main love interest. The film will begin shooting this spring in Toronto.
