'A Quiet Place 2': Brian Tyree Henry In Talks To Join Cillian Murphy & Emily Blunt In John Krasinski's Horror Sequel

After the monster success (no pun intended) of “A Quiet Place,” horror fans have been patiently waiting for any news about the upcoming sequel. What we know already is that John Krasinski is returning to write and direct the sequel, with his wife and co-star Emily Blunt returning, as well. But outside of that, we don’t know what to expect with “A Quiet Place 2.” Well, now we know that the cast is getting some pretty great additions.

According to The Wrap, Brian Tyree Henry is in talks to star in the horror sequel that is scheduled for release in 2020. He’s joining already-announced members of the cast that includes Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but one can assume that there won’t be much dialogue, and we’ll likely explore more of the post-apocalyptic, monster-filled world that we didn’t see in “A Quiet Place.”

Henry is probably best known as being the best part of a number of projects that he is a supporting player in. Recently, you’ve seen him in films like “If Beale Street Could Talk,“Widows,”Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” and “Hotel Artemis.” And if that wasn’t enough, he’s also the standout star of Emmy-winning FX series, “Atlanta,” regularly stealing scenes from the rest of the cast. Henry also has a murderers’ row of films coming up, including “Godzilla vs. Kong,” “The Woman in the Window,” and “Joker.”

Needless to say, Brian Tyree Henry is quickly becoming one of those actors that you will watch in anything, just because he’s that good.

We’ll have to wait and see how involved he’ll be in “A Quiet Place 2,” when that film arrives on May 15, 2020.
