‘A Quiet Place II’ Final Trailer: The Abbot Family Must Face The Terrors Of The Outside World

Nature is healing, etc., etc. Why? Well, we know movies like Paramount‘s “A Quiet Place II” are coming, and they are coming to theaters only, and that’s a return to normalcy somewhat (and what a gamble Paramount pulled to hold fast on this date).

Paramount has released a final trailer for the family drama/horror monster film less than a few away from the film’s debut. Audiences are surely in for a dialogue-less affair as Emily Blunt returns as the mother of three kids (Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, as the two older children) who has to abandon her fortress monsters overrun it. Now, she’s hitting the road, hoping to find others like her keeping safe by keeping silent. Here’s the official synopsis:

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. John Krasinski once again writes and directs but adds some new cast members (Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou) and clearly a bit of a bigger budget. As previous featurettes have pointed out, the sequel is “more ambitious” with “more monsters.” Now, in an era of sequels where studios assume that adding more, more, more to the story is enough to justify the film’s existence, it’s a bit alarming to hear those comments from Blunt. However, the first film worked really well, and with the creative team (namely Blunt’s husband Krasinski) returning, it’s hard not to think that maybe “A Quiet Place II” will be a worthwhile sequel.

We’ll find out when “A Quiet Place II” hits theaters on May 28. You can watch the new trailer and featurette below.
