HBO (and Adam McKay) apparently really likes Adrien Brody. Not only is he signed on to play a significant role in the upcoming Adam McKay-produced sports drama series about the Los Angele Lakers, but it appears the actor is being added to the growing cast of the network’s acclaimed hit, “Succession.”

According to Variety, Adrien Brody has been added to the cast for Season 3 of “Succession.” This news comes on the heels of the series adding Alexander Skarsgård to the cast of the HBO hit. The series tells the story of a media mogul and his family, as everyone lies, cheats, and backstabs in an attempt to become the new head of the empire. In Season 3, Brody is expected to play Josh Aaronson, a billionaire activist investor that plays a big role in the battle for Waystar.
Brody has been very active lately, with a number of big projects on the horizon, in addition to the two HBO dramas. He’s set to star in the upcoming EPIX TV series, “Chapelwaite.” He’ll also have a role in Wes Anderson’s highly-anticipated film, “The French Dispatch.” Then he’s got a role in the Andrew Dominik film, “Blonde,” which should be coming to Netflix soon. And there’s also an untitled murder mystery film that he’ll star in opposite Saorise Ronan and Sam Rockwell. All that to say, Brody has a lot on his plate.
There’s no official release date for “Succession” Season 3, but production has begun in New York City. Obviously, this series, like so many others for HBO and other networks, has been the victim of a massive delay because of the pandemic. But with previous Emmy wins and the star-studded cast, it’s clear that HBO wants to get Season 3 of “Succession” out as quickly as possible.
