Oh hey, for all you lovers of that sweet sticky stuff, today is 4/20 so light up and then watch the below.
We have to be honest, we never thought we’d see the words “Adrien Brody” and “stoner comedy” in the same sentence, but the again, we never thought we’d see the actor’s name near a cast sheet for “Predators” either. Anyway, Brody once again defies expectations with “High School,” this time playing the not so subtly named Psycho Ed who helps a high school valedictorian unleash his plan to get his entire student body stoned out of their skulls. Here’s the official synopsis:
It’s the end of the school year, and smarmy Principal Gordon (Michael Chiklis) has suddenly instituted a zero-tolerance crusade against his nemesis, the reviled marijuana. A mandatory drug test for all students is to be administered, failure of which will result in immediate expulsion. With his college scholarship hanging in the balance, valedictorian Henry Burke teams up a charismatic pothead to do the only thing they can think of to neutralize this threat – get the entire student body stoned.
We really don’t know what to make of the teaser except that Brody looks to be relishing his character with something approaching inappropriate zeal. The film premiered at Sundance and is apparently set for a fall release, but no dates have yet been set.
