Minister Glenn Summerford was described by those who knew him as an angry and jealous husband. Summerford was one of the rare Pentecostal ministers who practiced the old tradition of worshipping God with poisonous snakes during his church services. So, he attempted to use one of those snakes to murder his wife.

“Alabama Snake” goes into the case that shook the small Alabama town, along with the Pentecostal beliefs that made this crime possible. The documentary features a local historian to inform the audience of the old Pentecostal belief, as he attempts to piece together Summerford’s tale.
