Ciaran Hinds and Daryl Sabara have topped off the cast for Andrew Stanton’s “John Carter Of Mars” which began principal photography this week in London. In a plot point that’s a little meta, Sabara will play ‘Mars’ author Edgar Rice Burroughs who hears the tale from his uncle, Carter himself, and grows up to become the famous pulp author ,never giving his uncle any royalties.
Michael Bay has revealed that the third installment of “Transformers” won’t be as robot-heavy with fewer explosions. To quote Conan O’Brien, because it might be the last time for a while, “it’s going to be called ‘Transformers: What’s The Point?'”

Matt Damon and Brad Pitt have joined the cast of George Miller’s “Happy Feet 2.” It’s not known what role the two will play but they provide their voices for the 3-D film set for release November 28th, 2011.
Clark Gregg, the annoying guy who ends up being the S.H.I.E.L.D officer from “Iron Man,” will cross over into Kenneth Branagh’s ‘Thor.” His character Agent Coulson will also star in “Iron Man 2″ and probably ‘The Avengers” too. Speaking of, “Iron Man 2” will also simultaneously hit IMAX theaters on May 7.

Smith’s “Hitch.” Yeah, we’re just as confused as you are about that development. Could “Karate Kid” be this year’s “Paul Blart”?
Is “Paranormal Activity” the new “Saw”? Paramount seems to think so anyway lining up “Saw VI” helmer Kevin Greutert for a sequel to 2009’s hit sleeper success horror flick with Michael R. Perry scribing. The film already has a release date of October 22nd penciled in where it will go up against “Saw VII” making for one of the worst pre-Halloween weekends for movies in recent memory.
