The latest chapter in the drawn out saga of the alleged “Arrested Development” movie has creators Ron Howard and Mitch Hurwitz reportedly closing a deal on the project with Fox Searchlight and Imagine.
The rumors of a full-length “Arrested Development” film have been circulating for over a year, with cast members such as Jason Bateman and Michael Cera continually contradicting each other on wheter or not a feature would actually make it into production. But just last week we reported even though Ron Howard was giving no promises, that a script was being passed around to top studio executives and an announcement was imminent. Well apparently that was the case, because now it seems the deal for the movie is all but finished and creator/executive producer, Hurwitz is on board to write and direct with help from Howard (We did tell you that a script did exist, just very recently).
