'Atlanta' Season 3: FX Drops An Bizarre New "Fresh & Clean" Trailer

Let’s just say it, FX’s “Atlanta” from creator, writer, star Donald Glover is probably the best show on television. Or was. because of Glover’s busy scheduling, touring as a musician, making movies, blowing up all over pop culture and this damn, two-year pandemic, “Atlanta” has been heavily delayed and hasn’t been on the air since spring 2018. Belatedly, the third season of “Atlanta,” shot back to back with season four apparently, is ready and airs in March.

One trailer has already been reelased, but today FX released, “Shillin'” another strange, odd, bizzare trailer that repeats the refrain, “so fresh and so clean” (presumably a reference to Atlanta rap band Outkast) and perhaps speaks to how odd the setting of Europe might be to these characters this season.

In case you haven’t seen the show, Donald Glover stars as “Earnest ‘Earn’ Marks,” a young manager trying to get his cousin’s rap career off the ground. Brian Tyree Henry stars as “Alfred Miles,” a rapper trying to understand the line between real life and street life. Lakeith Stanfield plays “Darius,” Alfred’s right-hand man and visionary who helps navigate the city’s rap scene. And Zazie Beetz stars as “Van,” Earn’s best friend and mother of his daughter.

What also probably hasn’t helped with scheduling, all of these actors have totally blown up since this show became a major hit. Here’s the official synopsis:

Two cousins work through the Atlanta music scene in order to better their lives and the lives of their families. Donald Glover serves as Executive Producer, along with Paul Simms, Dianne McGunigle and Stephen Glover. Atlanta is produced by FX Productions.

Richer thoughts ahead, is all the new trailer offers, but hey, it’s something. “Atlanta” returns March 24th 2022 on FX, and streams on Hulu. Watch the new trailer below
