Dormer stars next in “Audrey’s Children,” a biopic about Dr. Audrey Evans, a trailblazing physician whose groundbreaking work in oncology continues to save millions of lives today. Ami Canaan Mann‘s film follows Evan’s career as the first female Chief of Oncology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 1969 as revolutionizes children’s medical treatment, develops the Neuroblastoma Staging System, and co-founds the first Ronald McDonald House.

AUDREY’S CHILDREN tells the untold true story of visionary British physician Dr. Audrey Evans, who burst onto the scene in 1969 as the first female Chief of Oncology at the world-renowned Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Battling sexism, medical conventions, and the subterfuge of her peers, Evans developed the first Neuroblastoma Staging System, co-founded the first Ronald McDonald House for families of patients, and, ultimately, impacted the lives of millions of children and families around the world.
Along with Dormer, “Audrey’s Children” also stars Jimmi Simpson, Clancy Brown, and Brandon Micheal Hall. Ami Canaan Mann, daughter of legendary director Michael Mann, directs a script by Julia Fisher Farbman. Farbman also co-produces the film with Bradley Gallo and Michael Helfant.
“Audrey’s Children” hits theaters nationwide on March 25, in honor of Women’s History Month and the late Dr. Evans’ 100th birthday. Watch a trailer for the film below.
