'Between Worlds' Trailer: Sorry Folks, After 'Mandy,' Nicolas Cage Is Back Making Bad Films

2018 has been… a year. There have been ups, but, man there have been downs. While most of the world’s woes have been the cause of forces outside of the entertainment industry, film has been experiencing ups and downs, itself. As with any year, there are plenty of films worth forking over money to see on the big screen (i.e. — “Burning,” “Suspiria,” and “A Star is Born,” just to name a few). However, on the other side of the spectrum lies “Between Worlds.”

We know that it’s been a prolific year for Nicolas Cage, with ‘Worlds’ being his fifth film to be released in 2018. But, outside of “Mandy,” 2018 has not been kind to Cage. And in the new trailer for “Between Worlds,” we can see that “Mandy” doesn’t appear to be the beginning of a Cage-issance, but instead more of an anomaly.

“Between Worlds” follows Cage as Joe, a truck driver whose dead wife gets reincarnated into the body of his new girlfriend’s(?) daughter after she goes into a coma… Yes, you read that right. Feel free to read it again if you have to. There are lots of hijinx and paranormal activity rushing through the veins of this film, all fueled by the revenge of Joe’s dead wife. What she’s so upset about, we don’t know.

What we do know is that Saban seems to be the go-to studio for highly-regarded actors who decide to make a questionable career choice. You may remember reading about “Speed Kills” starring John Travolta, just last week? “Speed Kills” happens to be released by the same company as “Between Worlds.”
