If you’re looking for two actors to really embody the roles of a father and a daughter going through an incredibly difficult time in their respective lives, why not just cast a real father and daughter? Well, that’s exactly what happened with the new film, “Bleeding Love.”
As seen in the trailer, “Bleeding Love” (originally titled “You Sing, I Sing Louder” during its festival run) follows the story of a father and daughter on a road trip to Santa Fe. While on that trip, they’re confronted with issues from their past, including a history of addiction that threatens their bond. What makes the film more interesting than just its premise is the fact that it stars Clara McGregor and her real-life father, Ewan McGregor, in the lead roles.
Joining the two McGregors in the cast are Kim Zimmer, Devyn McDowell, Sasha Alexander, Jake Weary, and Vera Bulder. The film is directed by Emma Westenberg, who has most recently worked on TV shows such as “Dollface,” “Long Slow Exhale,” and “Little Voice.”
“Bleeding Love” debuts in theaters and VOD on February 16. You can watch the trailer below.
