'Blue Eye Samurai' Trailer: Adult Animated Limited Series Premieres On Netflix On November 3

Adult animation fans, feast your eyes on this: “Blue Eye Samurai” hits Netflix next week, from the husband and wife team of Michael Green and Amber Noizumi. Some may recognize Green’s name from writing credits on “Logan” and “Blade Runner 2049,” making easy to guess what this animated limited series has in store for audiences.

Set during Japan’s Edo period, “Blue Eye Samurai” follows mixed-race swordsmaster Mizu (Maya Erskine) on his quest for vengeance.

This provocative and visually stunning cinematic series immerses the viewer in a world of vivid adult animation with a live-action edge. Set in Edo-period Japan, BLUE EYE SAMURAI follows Mizu (voiced by Maya Erskine), a mixed-race master of the sword who lives a life in disguise seeking the deliverance of revenge. TV-MA.

Alongside Erskine, other voice cast on “Blue Eye Samurai” includes Geroge TakeiMasi OkaCary-Hiroyuki TagawaBrenda Song, and Darren Barnet.  Randall Park and Kenneth Branagh also star. Supporting voice cast includes Stephanie HsuMing-Na WenHarry Shum Jr., and Mark Dacascos.

Green & Noizumi serves as showrunners on “Blue Eye Samurai,” with Janu Wu as supervising director/producer. Other producers include Nick Read and Haven Alexander. Green & Noizumi also executive produce the series with Erwin Stoff.  Yana Bille-Chung co-writes the series with Green & Noizumi. Wu leads the show’s directing team with Ryan O’LoughlinEarl A. HibbertAlan Wan, Green, Sunny Sun, and Alan Taylor.
