Filmmaker Reinaldo Marcus Green seemingly rose quickly in Hollywood. Still, the reality is he toiled away in shorts and TV for years before his big breakout feature-length directorial debut, “Monsters and Men,” made a huge splash at Sundance in 2018. Still, everything seemingly changed overnight, and in quick succession, he helmed “Joe Bell” with Mark Wahlberg, a critically acclaimed series (HBO’s “We Own This City”), and directed Will Smith to an Oscar Best Actor award in “King Richard” among other projects. And for his next act, he’s tackling “Bob Marley: One Love,” a rock biopic about the iconic reggae singer.

The cast of “Bob Marley: One Love” is enormous, and up-and-comer Kingsley Ben-Adir, recently coming off Marvel’s “Secret Invasion,” plays the legendary musician.
The film also stars Lashana Lynch as Rita Marley and James Norton as Island Records mogul Chris Blackwell, who discovered Marley for Western and white audiences. The supporting cast includes Tosin Cole, Umi Myers, Anthony Welsh, Nia Ashi, Aston Barrett Jr., Anna-Sharé Blake, Gawaine “J-Summa” Campbell, Naomi Cowan, Alexx A-Game, Michael Gandolfini, Quan-Dajai Henriques, David Kerr, Hector Roots Lewis, Abijah “Naki Wailer” Livingston, Nadine Marshall, Sheldon Shepherd, Andrae Simpson, and Stefan A.D Wade.
