‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ Final Trailer: Rami Malek Is Center Stage As Another Queen Song Is Highlighted

Bohemian Rhapsody” has been one of the most anticipated films ever since it was announced that Rami Malek was cast as Freddie Mercury, the frontman for the legendary band Queen. However, it has been a somewhat rocky road to getting the film made. Bryan Singer was originally attached as the Mercury biopic’s director. After shooting a sizable portion of the film, Singer was fired from production due to extensive absences and a poor working relationship with the cast and crew, particularly Malek. Still, production moved onwards and upwards, with “Eddie the Eagle” director Dexter Fletcher taking over at the helm.

In the final trailer, we presented by the main selling point for the entire film — Rami Malek’s portrayal of Freddie Mercury. Sure, this film is a Queen biopic, but according to the reviews (including our own), the main reason (or only reason, depending on which review) that fans will want to check out this film is to see Malek’s performance. And if the trailer is anything to judge by, that would seem accurate.

“Bohemian Rhapsody” is written by “The Theory of Everything‘s” Anthony McCarten and “Frost/Nixon‘s” Peter Morgan. Malek stars alongside Mike Myers, Joseph Mazzello, Aidan Gillen, Ben Hardy, Lucy Boynton, Tom Hollander, Allen Leech, and Gwilym Lee.

Distributed by Twentieth Century Fox, “Bohemian Rhapsody” will hit theaters on November 2.

Read the official synopsis below:

They reach unparalleled success, but in an unexpected turn Freddie, surrounded by darker influences, shuns Queen in pursuit of his solo career.

Having suffered greatly without the collaboration of Queen, Freddie manages to reunite with his bandmates just in time for Live Aid. Facing a life-threatening illness, Freddie leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. Queen cements a legacy that continues to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.
