It appears that Kevin Spacey is still persona non grata in Hollywood. The accusations against him just were too much for the actor to push through and keep his career intact. But according to Brian Cox, it’s time for everyone to “forgive and forget” when it comes to Spacey.

Speaking in a recent THR interview, Brian Cox talked about his friendship with Kevin Spacey. Cox believes that Spacey is ready for his comeback and that people should just move on and let him act.
“I just think Kevin had certain things which he couldn’t or didn’t admit to, and I think it was a strain on him in many ways,” said Cox. “And for me, that was Kevin’s only difficulty. But he’s a very fine actor, and I like Kevin a lot. He’s very funny. I met with him recently.”

He added, “I think he’s been through it. He’s had the kicking that some people think he deserved. He’s ready to get back in the saddle again, and people are trying to stop him from doing that. And I really do go back to, ‘Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.’ Maybe he got too out of hand, but I don’t think he should be punished endlessly for it. There should be a case of forgive and forget. Let’s move on. I think he should be given the opportunity to come back to work.”
Again, Spacey’s trouble stems from various sexual misconduct allegations against him. And while there have been cases of people coming back from allegations such as that, it doesn’t appear that Spacey is able to recover.
Cox and Spacey previously worked together on the 1994 film, “Iron Will.” It would appear they both struck up quite the friendship at that time, especially considering it’s been 30 years since the release of that film. Spacey attempted his comeback in 2024, with the release of his comeback film, “Peter Five Eight.” That film is a micro indie that didn’t seem to catch on with many folks.
