Bryce Dallas Howard On Returning For The Mandalorian Season Two

Did you know on the set of “The Mandalorian” they referred to The Child (or Baby Yoda as fans have christened) as “Baby?” That was one of the biggest revelations to at least this writer when Bryce Dallas Howard joined the latest episode of the Four Quadrant podcast. Howard was a guest not only to discuss her experiences directing an episode of both the first and upcoming second season of Disney Plus’ monster hit but her feature documentary debut, “Dads.”

Acquired by Apple TV+ after debuting at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival, “Dads” premiered on the streaming service appropriately on Father’s Day. It finds Howard intertwining stories of contemporary fathers from around the world with recollections from some of the world’s most famous comedians or comedic actors such as Will Smith, Jimmy Fallon, Neil Patrick Harris, and Hasan Minhaj, among others. The “Jurassic World” franchise star also worked in a poignant thread about her own father, Ron Howard, and grandfather, Reece Howard, who influenced how she and her siblings were raised.

Our chat also covered her work on “The Mandalorian” in-depth and touched on her quarantine and safety protocols to resume filming “Jurassic World: Dominion” in the U.K.
