Whether it’s in the pangs of long distance love in “Like Crazy” or amidst the futuristic chill of “Equals,” writer/director Drake Doremus knows his way around romance. And he’s concocting another tale to set the heart racing with some interesting leads to help him spin the yarn.
THR reports that Charlie Hunnam and Lea Seydoux will lead the director’s next movie. This time around, Doremus will be working from a script by Rich Greenberg, who penned web series “The Beauty Inside” that Doremus helmed. What is it about? Right now, no one is saying anything except that it’s a “unique love story,” but it’s a premise that has caught the attention of Ridley Scott who will be producing through his Scott Free banner, which leads me to assume it’ll be something a bit high concept.
We’re definitely curious to say the least, hopefully there are more details to come and this one gets rolling soon.
Update 10/25: The film will be titled “Zoe,” and follow two colleagues at a revolutionary research lab who design technology to improve and perfect romantic relationships. As their work progresses, their discoveries become more profound than they could ever have imagined.
