Charlie Sheen Says He Has A Script From Roman Coppola; Says WB Will Rename Studio Charlie Bros.

So the Oscars are over and while pundits debate how entertaining (or not) the broadcast was, for this writer, the biggest thrill of the night came from a preview for Charlie Sheen‘s upcoming “20/20” interview which featured the sure-to-be meme-spawning quote: “I’m on a drug, it’s called Charlie Sheen.” Pure gold. But as usual, that’s just the tip of the iceberg from the Sheen Quote Machine and in an interview that ran this morning on the Today” show, the actor revealed a pretty random future movie project he says has crossed his desk. We’ll let the full quote speak for itself:

“Come Wednesday morning [Warner Bros.] will rename [their studio] Charlie Brothers not Warner Brothers. Duh. Winning. Guys, IMDB, right there, 62 movies and a ton of success. Come on, bro, I won Best Picture at 20. I wasn’t even trying. Wasn’t even warm. I have Roman Coppola with a script. David Ward with ‘Major League 3.’ I got Nick Cassavetes with ‘God is a Bullet.'”

Of course, who knows how much of what Sheen says is based in truth or pure cocaine-fueled delusion. Morgan Creek CEO James Robinson has already put the kibosh on Sheen doing any ‘Major League’ film if he continues his “winning” ways. So this supposed Roman Coppola script is likely a mixture of partial fact and far-out fiction. But a comeback vehicle like “Somewhere” or “The Wrestler” with Sheen starring and Coppola directing? Yeah, we’d be first in line.

But really, use your 15 minute coffee break to watch that interview linked above. It’s kind of amazing.
