As seen in the delightfully retro trailer, “Christmas Eve in Miller’s Point” tells the story of a family who gathers for what might end up being the last big holiday in their home. The family’s story is split amongst generational lines, as you see the teens go off and do their own thing and the adults cause chaos at home.
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Michael Cera, Elsie Fisher, Maria Dizzia, Sawyer Spielberg, and Francesca Scorcese. ‘Christmas Eve’ comes from director Tyler Taormina, who co-wrote the script alongside Eric Berger. The filmmaker is probably best known for his debut feature, “Ham on Rye,” which arrived back in 2019.
“Christmas Eve in Miller’s Point” is set to arrive in theaters on November 8. You can watch the trailer below.
Here’s the synopsis:
On Christmas Eve, a family gathers for what could be the last holiday in their ancestral home. As the night wears on and generational tensions arise, one of the teenagers sneaks out with her friends to claim the wintry suburb for her own.
